NGOZI OKONJA IWEALA LISTED AMONGST WORLD'S 50 GREATEST LEADERS

Nigeria’s own very Dr Ngozi Okonja- Iweala and Minister of Finance has been named one of the 50 greatest leaders in the world by Fortune Magazine.

Okonjo-Iweala was recognised alongside Liberian President, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf; Pope Francis, Xi Jinping, Narendra Modi; Bill and Melinda Gates, Mark Zuckerburg; and Mr. Tom Cook.

Why Siasia dropped Enyeama again!

Vincent Enyeama's axing from the Nigerian squad to face Guinea on October 8 is due to his failure to apologise to head coach Samson Siasia personally.
He will also not to be part of the side to play Ghana in an international friendly in London on October 11.

Nigeria Ends in Third Place

NIGERIA dropped to the third place at the end of the 10th All Africa Games which ended on Saturday in Maputo, Angola, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.

Egypt, which had maintained the third spot before now, displaced Nigeria, while South Africa maintained its top position.
The medals' table released by COJA, the main organising committee, on Sunday, shows that Nigeria had a total of 98 medals -- 31 gold, 28 silver and 39 bronze.

Okagbare Wins Long Jump, Taekwondo Adds Two Bronze

BLESSING Okagbare, with a leap of 6.50 metres yesterday, won gold in the women’s long jump event of the 2011 All Africa Games in Maputo.
Okagbare, who lost the 100 metres gold medal to compatriot, Damola Osayomi, made up for the miss in the long jump to claim her individual medal. She also won gold in the 4x100 metres relay race.
